Villa Alia is located within walking distance of the two most popular beaches of Syros. Despite being a stone’s throw away from the village of Poseidonia, the property feels much more remote and offers the calm and serenity one might wish for on a relaxing holiday. For larger groups, Villa Alia can be rented together with Villa Aktaia. The villas are located near each other but each is completely private.
The villa
Villa Alia lies on a plot of 1.7 acres and was designed by Syros-based architect Giorgos Evripiotis. The building follows the contour of the coastline - only 100 metres away - and benefits from a generous 280sqm of interior living space and 700sqm of outdoor space. There are 4 bedrooms - 3 of which are ensuite - sleeping up to 8 people comfortably - with options for a further 2 people children. The property has 5 bathrooms.
The upper level comprises the living, dining and kitchen areas in an open plan layout. All bedrooms and bathrooms are found on the lower level. There is air-conditioning and central heating throughout. This property is perfect for groups wanting to spending time together but the generous outdoor spaces on both levels afford guests the chance to spend some quiet time alone.

The garden
Renowned landscape designer Helli Pangalou has developed the garden around Villa Alia in such a way that it blends seamlessly into the natural landscape. Small bushes such as lavender, rosemary and thyme are dotted in between various kinds of grasses and amongst carob, pomegranate and fig trees. In addition to a small orangery, there is also an olive grove from which the olives are harvested and pressed into oil.
